<< Back to News Listings Saturday, November 15th 8:00 AM Village Center                     The Junior League of Greater Orlando (JLGO) invites the community to participate in the first annual “Volunteers on the Move 5K” and race through Baldwin Park, Saturday, November 15th, at 8:00 a.m. (rain or shine).  This is a family friendly event for racers, runners and walkers.    This event is chip timed and awards will be presented to the top three male and female winners. Every child will receive an award for participating in the free Kiddie Dash. Visit www.buttar.com for more information and to register for the event.   Race Information: 8:00 a.m. - 5K run (runners with transponders); 8:05 a.m. - 5K walk (walkers and strollers); 9:30 a.m. - Kiddie Dash.   5K run/walk - $20 online before November 4th  (Nov. 5 - 13 - $25 online); 5K run/walk - online registration closes November 13th; 5K run/walk - $30 on race day at Baldwin Park (check or cash only); 5K run/walk -17 & under and 65 & older - $15 online; 8 & under: Kiddie Dash – Free! (for any child not running the 5K).   All proceeds from the 5K benefit JLGO’s mission and the organization’s many community programs. JLGO is a powerful group of volunteers in action committed to improving the Orlando community. The organization’s focus is on domestic violence prevention and ensuring the well being of children through community programs and projects. In the 60 year history of service, the JLGO has contributed more than $1 million and more than one million hours of service to the Orlando community.
